Sometimes, I wish the school had an indoor riding arena. I can't do jumps when there's ice on the ground. Fortunately the weather has been half decent this winter and the outdoor arena has fairly clear ground most of the time.
First show with Blitzen is at the end of March.
Anyone feel like going for a hack?

Okay, we have seventeen people for cards night on Friday night.
I've booked a suite at the Inn. Suite 214. The password to get in is 'deuces are wild'. I'll be putting Silencing Charms on the room so we don't get any noise complaints. There will be a couple bedrooms off if anyone wants to crash.
Zach and I are bringing the tables, the cards, the chips, all that.
Damien and Maslin are bringing cookies. I'm going to bring some snacks as well, but if anyone else wants to bring stuff to eat as well, that would be great.
Everyone should bring some booze, and mixers, and we'll have a make-shift bar set up with glasses and stuff.
Come down anytime after seven. Well, you can come earlier than that too, but you'll be helping set up then.

Alright, we have thirteen people in for the poker games next Friday. If we could get two more, that would be fifteen, three full tables. And more than that would definitely be welcome.
I'll be owling to find a space to book out for the evening, and will see about getting a self-serve bar set up. And food, of course. And the tables. I have one card table, but we'll need a couple more. Zach, you must have one to spare?
Also, I've blocked this from the Prefects, but if anyone knows of one who should be invited - and won't blab - let me know and we can shoot them an invite.

Alright, so I'm in the mood for another card night. Except I'm thinking bigger. Several tables going, with different games. Poker, Texas Hold 'Em, Blackjack, whatever the fancy of people is.
Possibly off campus, so as not to get in trouble. Next weekend, maybe? I'm thinking Friday. If there's enough interest we could rent a room somewhere and set up a bunch of tables and a makeshift bar and all that good stuff. Different levels of bets on different tables, so even novices could play - we could even have a table playing for candy for the beginners!

The Infirmary is not at all comfortable. Which I knew from past experience. Much past experience.
However it is even less comfortable when people are screaming their lungs out.
I think I need a muffling spell. Or a conk-out potion. I'm glad I brought some stuff down to do while I was here.
The Infirmary smells really bad too. I think Renoir must be keeping corpses in the back room.

Finally dug this out of the bottom of my suitcase. Honesety, I was looking for clean socks really. Which I did not find. I'm sure I packed more than I have! Oh well.
Hope everyone's holidays are going well. And thanks for all the presents.
I got an awful lot of alcohol. Not that I'm complaining. Is this some sort of sign though? That I don't drink enough? Or that people think I'm a secret wino?

I got a bedspread from one of my great-aunts. It has kittens on it. I think she's confused about my age and gender.

Frosty is alive! He's alive!
Okay, that would have been much more dramatic if I'd said it, rather than written it. Hard to get that emotion into the words.
But Frosty is alive. Not very smart though, because he smacked into a wall. But I suppose since his brain is made out of snow, we can let that slide.
Living snowmen make for a really great in-between-exams break. You should try it.

Lots of fun building indoor snowmen last night. Next time, it will have to be outdoors! Don't worry, Pearcy, I only have one photo of you hugging a snowman for blackmail!

And snow! I'm enjoying the snow in the school. Which bears the question - who wants to make snowmen indoors this evening? I'm thinking in one of the main hallways or maybe even the main foyer. Who's in? Come on, when else will you have a chance for indoor snowmen?
